said, Alida Vankerkoerle of Mt.
Brydges, Ontario who won the
trip for two to Santee, South
Carolina.  This trip includes
six night accommodations at the
Howard Johnson, Santee, and six
rounds of golf including rounds at
4-star rated Santee National
Golf Club, Lake Marion Golf Club, Santee Cooper Country Club and Crowfield Golf Club, in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

When asked how she
heard about the South
Carolina contest, Alida
explained that she and
husband Rennie spend
their winters in Florida,
and, “I have a habit
of checking sites that
might enhance our
golfing experience
there.  We had heard about Santee at a London, Ontario golf show several years ago and wanted to play there.  We’ve have friends drive down to play at Santee and they highly recommended that we play there if we ever got the chance,” she explained.  Then, laughing, “Yahoo!  I guess now we can!”

Alida, with a 20 handicap, has been a golfer for the past 15 years, and husband Rennie has played for 25 to 30 years, boasts a 12 handicap.  The Van-
kerkoerle couple enjoys
“Playing a variety of
courses - too many to
join just one,” and
have recently played
at Gaylord in Michigan
as well as a few
courses in the Port
Huron area and just
recently returned from
a golf weekend at Garland Resorts.

Alida and Rennie are planning to enjoy their South Carolina golf vacation some time
in December.
